Shot in the dark, but there's definitely an appeal to the idea of getting the glowering jaded chick to loosen up and show off both her figurative and literal soft spots to you.
That and, within the context of the story, despite her past amateur-hour relationship with Scott and beneath the veneer of giving him shit, she does still stick by him and support him (in her own way) as a friend. For a no-chill person, she's really chill.
