I can load the saves fine because mod, its just the dev being a cunt and refusing to let them load. All I had to do was replay the part where I fucked my kailey because theres minor text changes and maybe a new option to not breed her (who wouldnt pick yes?).
Devs also decided that right click doesnt work for managing saves any more because fuck you and you can only do it when theres a textbox on screen.

The link below contains multiple renpy files and viewable code. Use as you please, link to the gitlab if you make a game, report any issues you find.

customScreenshots.rpy modifies the save location of screenshots, taken with S, to one of a few options. Easily customized.

customSaveScreen.rpy alters the save/load screens so that they have:
Infinite scrolling save slots;
Toggle-able save names;
Save page tracking beyond 10;
Buttons to move +/- 10 pages at once.

Using this as a mod should work on most wegs, any that do style shit or have dumbass code tied to their save/load screens will look strange or fail to be altered. Example, My Dorm S3.

Other files include a "The Guardian" specific custom save screen and a splash screen/startup video skipper.

For me that depends on how much plot I can be bothered with. Sometimes I don't mind diving deep into a new world but other times I can't be bothered and just want comfy SoL stuff. With Fantasy you have no choice but have an actual plot and if it and plot related characters suck, then the game sucks.
If it is in modern times I prefer it to be somewhere remote, like Helping the Hotties or Summer Heat. The comfiest WEG I ever played was MIST though, which is a blend of fantasy and modernity.

It quickly reached meme status where people would critize the devs for spending so much time on it instead of working on real content for the game.
