The more of these games I play, the more I realize 1st person perspectives are just shit for telling stories. The author hamstrings themselves into injecting the MC into every situation, where actual story development would be much more interesting behind his back. Like 2 girls talking amongst themselves or showing the girl alone and reading off her internal monologue. It gets to the point where you sort of wish MC would just fuck off for a little while and the story shift focus to some other characters. There can never any true character development if the only side of the character you see is the one MC sees. People are much more complex than that.

Some devs do cut to other characters without the MC present, or will give you the girl's inner thoughts as well as the MC's, but I don't think it's inherently shit so much as it changes how you have to approach things. 1st person is better suited for games with more reactivity and divergence where the story is less kinetic and instead it's interesting to force the player to make decisions with the same knowledge as the MC. The less agency you give the player, the less it matters to limit their knowledge and you can give the player more of a narrator role, but even then it can be handled well. Cosy cafe, for all it's faults that I ragged on it for, manages to handle this really well with some characters, and the big reveal for the haughty ojousama wouldn't have had nearly it's same punch if you had meta knowledge of it before instead of flabbergasting you the same way it did the MC.

customScreenshots.rpy modifies the save location of screenshots, taken with S, to one of a few options. Easily customized.

customSaveScreen.rpy alters the save/load screens so that they have:
Infinite scrolling save slots;
Toggle-able save names;
Save page tracking beyond 10;
Buttons to move +/- 10 pages at once.

Using this as a mod should work on most wegs, any that do style shit or have dumbass code tied to their save/load screens will look strange or fail to be altered. Example, My Dorm S3.

Other files include a "The Guardian" specific custom save screen and a splash screen/startup video skipper.
