I promise I wasn't trying to target anyone, which is part of why I didn't link any specific requests. There is a lot of truth to the idea that it is also specific to the artist, and I shouldn't be taken as speaking for anyone else. Also, providing a general scenario is fine. If you can describe your scenario in one or two sentences that are short and to the point, then it's fine. Artists do want to be creative with interpreting a request, but having solid guardrails about the kind of thing you want is really helpful, too. But the more complicated the scenario and more specific the minute details are, the less interested in doing the request as a fun side thing for myself. This is very similar to how I feel, though I'm happy if the request includes some story element or distinct trait of the character. I like doing pinups and stuff, but it's also fun to have some element that spices an otherwise pretty plain pinup into something unique. I've delivered a lot of different style of requests so I'm not usually picky, but there will always be things that are turn off for an artist who gets to pick and choose from a selection of options.

I will also say, if you request just be willing to be flexible with the artist. It will improve your odds someone will pick your request
