I got the base Stable Diffusion installed, I got that far.

I don't want to call this bad because I know I don't understand it but bro all my gens are fucking garbage.

Picrel is ChatGPT. I like ChatGPT. I know how to talk to it, it understands me. I want to make cartoon gens as clean as picrel.... but not in a program I gotta pay money for or would be weird about if I tried to make more porny gens.

What's the likely cause of my shit gens as a noob who just started trying to figure this out?

Go on civit or tensorart and open any pic that you like. Then study the prompts and generation settings they used, then download your favorite checkpoint and copy the prompt and settings into the frontend your using and go from there. Make tweaks to the prompt to see what works and doesnt work. Theres a munch of tutorials out there that explain what all of the settings do.

Install webui Forge from the OP paste. Then go to civitAI and get a model checkpoint, Illustruous based ones have worked fine for me, personally I use NovafurryXL. Drop it to the models folder. The example images on the model pages in CivitAI have metadata that the model can read to replicate the image. Grab one, use the PNG upload on the webui to read it and start tweaking the values from there.
