It's been going slow. Main issue is still the environment and aesthetic of the building itself. Stopped focusing on the characters and started focusing on the environment itself because even though backdrops will be blurred to shit with DoF, as per weg standards, they're still important.
Then it comes the fact that to have good shadows without using GFX intensive shit (multiple light sources, SEGI, SSS, next gen shadow, contact shadows), I need to use cubemap lighting, but cubemap lighting affects both character and map, and because I'm using basic planes with custom textures and custom normal maps to build the environment rather than a pre-made map, it is an ungodly fight against the software to make sure everything is proper, one-sided rendering to avoid FPS dropping, different textures reacting in a different way, yadda yadda.

Nothing to update, really. I'm just trying to make a big modular map first so that I won't have to worry about it, and that will let me load multiple characters without killing my 730.

Okay the other day I was on the hunt for a game I remembered little about. I thought of some more info in hopes someone may be able to help me find this game. There was a game I played at least 6 years ago, probably longer. Where you are playing a man who has recently moved into his own apartment.
