The free version is very limited. That said you do not need to maintain a sub to keep using it. You can pay for the month and then cancel your subscription and keep using whichever version you got the key for. You would only need to sub again if you wanted to update to a newer version if the update happened after your sub was up.

I'm looking for a solution to a problem I have often.
Often theres good scenes, but maybe the PoV button the creator has put in only has one character enabled. I would have assumed I could just find the trigger for that and change the action to another character but sometimes scenes have plugins like that in random as atoms and its a fkn pain to find them when it should be simple.

Is there a quick pov switch plugin that exists or a better way to examine atoms inside vam so I can find the trigger so those POV buttons can apply to a different character in the scene instead of the one its intended for?

what I do is use an a well configured embody plugin present and merge load it onto the 2 different characters in the scene. Then set a different keybind for each one. You won't have to use the PoV button set by the creator of the scene
