Anyone else just resorting to inpainting nowadays? I realized back in the day, I would just end up inpainting over the barbie doll or horrorgina looking crotches anyway. So I just have them wearing "short jeans" that are versatile in terms of poses and very easy to inpaint off.

it's not just the prompt adherence. 4o seems to have been trained on a completely different training set from dalle. there is zero overlap in the kind of images it makes, even the celebs look different (dalle likes to draw Daisy a certain way, i.e. actually make her attractive).

Whatever dalle was doing under the hood with its vivid model was also being applied to celebs. It feels / felt like the faces were kind of constructed rather than just diffused from the data. If you look at eye brows for example it always draws them in the same way. It drew celebs in the same vivid style and made them hotter than real life lol. 4o seems to go the other way and actively make them ugly.

I agree. This is the reason I enjoyed genning with dalle so much. There was always this surreal chaos to ot that elevated the images to a higher level. You only needed to throw a few keywords in and you get really creative stuff. 4o is soulless in comparison, it never adds anything you didn't ask for. It also has no real variance, if you run the same prompt over and over again, you basically get the same image everytime, no change in pose or what have you. I prefer it to Gemini but for next generation supposed improvements over dalle3 they are both sorely lacking. I always felt they (OpenAI ) kind of shit themselves as to how hood dalle was and had to dumb it back for 4o. Who knows maybes all the good shit is still in the training data, they just know how to block it with filters better than dalle. Be interesting if anyone ever susses out a real jailbreak for 4o, but I think they've learned from their mistakes and have got this shit locked down tight in regards to art styles /artists etc

Dalle was fun because it felt like a game, it was fast, it had prompt weighting and vivid that made every shitty prompt look decent at least, it was addictive. Gemini and 4o are much better than even 2023 dalle, but they're not fun, they're slow, you have to actually write a good prompt, and the filter sucks.

It had an element of periodic reinforcement, or gambling. Prompt something that sounds interesting and see what amazing and horrible stuff it spits back at you, and most of it was interesting to look at. Paradoxically I think it would have been less fun (less of a game) if it only made great gens.

I suffered from depression and anxiety from childhood-30ish, at which point I cleaned up my diet and started using my body. For some of us sadness is the feeling of not doing the right things. That made it possible to solve.

When I say cleaned up my diet I mean a third, hidden option. The mainstream defines eating styles as option 1.) standard American filth diet of processed foods 2.) alternative "healthy" diet of tofu and sprouts and raw nuts and kale and misery. But...nobody wants to switch to that and it's hard and it's not actually that good for you. Option 3.) is animal-based: steak, cheese, butter, fish, chicken, bacon, etc. Kimchi and sauerkraut and radishes and fermented veggies. Some fruit. Whole, yummy foods, just like our ancestors ate. I think it fixed my microbiome.

Then function exercise as well, with the same "third option" principle. Quick sprints. Pullups. Carry some heavy weight every day. Take walks. Don't go too easy or hard on self. No idea if this pertains to your situation but it changed my life.

It'll ever happen regardless of cost I dont think, theres just too much in the training data of Dalle3 that they dont want us usingh for them to ever offer anything like this.Look how they knobbled Azure API and that could only get close to 2023 Bing with jailbreaks and the ywere charging 10c an image through the API. DE3 has always been their problem child, I figure they basically used all our prompts against us when they developed Sora. $15 a month would be nothing to them , they charge $20 a month for GPT plus and this only gets you 1 concurrent gen at Sora with a 200 image per day limit. Sad times.
