DALLE is good still for Rey gens, but Bing makes getting anything fun out of it quite a chore now. DALLE still has some of the best 3D comprehension. cici has been my favorite to use so far but perchance is a close second. its just so much faster, multiple gens at once (the one I use offers up to 100, which seems a bit nuts), being able to use wildcard prompting for your gens, refining single images after generation, the easy style selecting and mixing. its just peak to me besides the hands being bad if you don't specify them more in the prompts, and you still have the figuring out the puzzle element of it all with trying to work with Flux and get the wording right for poses instead of trying to get it to show a belly button through word trickery, so that part can be fun.

plus ill take total horror AI weirdness over looking at endless dog blocks anyday, because that shits just as amusing as beautiful imaginary girls showing bobs.

I mean this could easily be confused as dall-e with the vibrance, just less plastic and uncanny valley looking.

I look back at the realism gens made with Dall-e 3 and they all look a bit too plastic for me and the faces look too bogged out. [Imagen 4 with] Gemini [as the front end] is not flat as fuck --
it took me over a month to figure out how to gen properly, and I'm still learning
some pluses over DALL-E 3:
* image quality is greatly improved. They are not as far apart as you would think, after 1/24 DALL-E 3 image generation was downgraded. You can see it in the eyes and the teeth
* built in upscaler (when you click the down arrow to download the image, it automatically upscales it to 2048)
* you can use some terms which Bing post-1/24 or post-CiCi Azure would barf at.
* image generation is much more consistent from image to image. When you generate an image using Gemini, it retains state of what you generated. So you can generate similar images with slight variation or a different camera angle. DALL-E didn't retain state so every image gen was completely different.
some neutral:
* prompting is way different you have to unlearn some of the DALL-E tricks
* by default, very generic women are generated. you need to specifically ask for a model. DALL-E was designed to give you good looking images with good looking people, automatically
* you don't get wild generations
* it may take *many* iterations with Gemini to get appropriate and respectful bodypart dimensions
some negative:
* it is not impossible, but very difficult to get nipples and areola
* there are some lewds in the training data (I know for a fact Guccione's Kodachromes sold as part of the auction of his estate are in the training set) but they set up some pretty strict guardrails to steer generation away from it
* the really crazy shit (guns, strangulation, gang rape) seems to be absent from the training data
* Imagen 4 cannot interpolate like DALL-E can/could. you gave DALL-E a wild, nonsense prompt and it would try to interpolate what you typed. lots of great gens with that
I have used Imagen 4 with the API and it is incredibly censored. Like unusable like current DALL-E, even with the lowest censorship setting

Somehow lengthening bangs isn't something AI can do for some reason. Even nano-banana fails.
Tried "lengthen her bangs", "make her bangs cover her eyes", "make her bangs reach the tip of her nose", nothing works. They even make them shorter and open her eyes.
Only gpt-image-1 managed to do it, but it alters the image, so I can't integrate it into the large picture.

Any tips? I even went and manually stretched the bangs in photoshop, then asked the models to seamlessly integrate the long bangs to the statue and they didn't do anything, left the seams and bad crop untouched.

all the learning from how to use ImageFX and crafting the wildest prompts for it taught me how to master prompting with Google Gemini which is still similar.Then sometimes I get a better understanding of how it works by getting it to revise a prompt. Then I just learn from the revised prompts and still use my prompt tricks to get the best prompts with the best leverage of every possible way to tailor it to show the image I am looking to generate. I think whoever is claiming its style is "flat" never really used Gemini to its fullest potential and just uses the default style without specifying aesthetic of the image to apply some variance. Remember, it's still Imagen and therefore can reference specific copyrighted Camera brands and camera aesthetics to add to how the photorealism looks in the image. Even stuff like "aerochrome III" still works. Maybe try referencing different camera brands (without saying "camera" of course.) for the aesthetic of the image to see if it creates variance? It's not automatic like Dall-e 3 which creates variance on its own. But it also looks less plastic, bogged, and crooked unlike how Dall-e 3 images look now. This isn't Dall-e 3. It's a different model so you have to expect it to be consistently the same with each image unless you specify otherwise. It won't create the variance for you. You have to add it yourself.

wtf, that's the problem, Whisk, until probably two days ago, gave you a choice between Imagen 3 ("Quality") and Imagen 4 ("Best quality"). But now the choice is gone, as are the 4:3 and 3:4 aspect ratios.

I think Gemini still uses Imagen 4, but because it is a chatbot, it interprets prompts differently. and therefore you can get better gens by leveraging it acting like a chatbot and interpreting text and adjusting the image gen itself better than strictly following the text of a prompt.
