As a kid, I once scored 135 in an actual test. This was around first grade. It was divided into categories and very comprehensive. Results said I was on the cusp of being verbally gifted.

Then around the sixth grade I went to a psychologist who tested me and told me he cant give me the exact number (not sure why) but he did say it was over 125.

I just did the online mensa test and my iq is 107. What the fuck is happening to me?

Nothing

IQ testing a child is retarded, and most of it is hopeful speculation to con the parents. Every parent wants to hear this child is a genius.

IQ tests became onions and compromised like everything else at a certain point. I wouldnt take it too seriously. Read the biography of James Clerk Maxwell and the amount of things he was involved in. You will realize 130, 140, 150...these numbers mean nothing. We live in a different age of man than when IQ was relevant

I read regularily, and am working on my third language. I took the test because I felt kind of slow these last few days. Unhealthy lifestyle due to uni stress.

>>33195441
It wasn't to con the parents. It was me being sent for further testing after the mandatory psychologist checkup we have before starting school in my country. Second one was part of me getting therapy.

elaborate, what was he involved in and how does it relate?

You're probably fine. Stop framing your life around IQ determinism and judge yourself based on your effort, your accomplishments, and your character rather than your potential.

Did you finish the test or leave it incomplete? That specific test weighs completion over correct answers. That said, that web test is also not as comprehensive as an actual IRL test.
FWIW, I took an actual IQ test my parents paid for when I was a kid and took the mensa test and literally got the exact same score on both.

Not OP, but I've heard that high-school math is a pretty good way to measure someone's IQ. Is this true?

No.
You’re being neurotic about a number. Life is composed of a vast more amount of skills than “can he solve this test”. Chill out.

IQ is fake and gay and meaningless. I have a 130 IQ and it never meant anything and I never felt smart. I dropped out of high school and had to get a GED which I barely passed.

>Results said I was on the cusp of being verbally gifted.
Happens a lot with kids who read a lot or generally have intellectual interests deemed early for their age. It's not uncommon to see kids with normal scores in every mark except for verbal comprehension and reasoning

>but he did say it was over 125.
Going from 135 to 125 isn't a big drop and can be symptomatic of you underperforming that test and overperforming the other one. In essence, maybe you just lucked out when picking random when you didn't know or were right but with wrong reasons.

>I just did the online mensa test and my iq is 107. What the fuck is happening to me?
Mensa tests only measures one of the multiple index found within IQ (the perceptive reasoning I think?). Maybe you're better at the other ones.

Only because it generally indicates coming from a community with families, connections, child nutrition etc.

A 165 IQ Pashtun woman isn't gonna accomplish shit

I was pretty high in all regards apart from fine motor skills. It was a very comprehensive test. But I wasn‘t really reading or doing anything mentally challenging then. Nothing I remember at least.

So what‘s the verdict doc? I‘ve been under a lot of stress lately, also don‘t really speak to people. Very socially isolated the past few years. Terrible sleep schedule, nights for days…. Did I really irreversibly fuck my self up? Ironically this coincides with me reading more kek. Should I do a real one? What area does this online one cover in comparison with a full test?

I’m not fucking “reading up” on IQ lol or watching any JP video.
You’re putting some autistic emphasis on IQ when you should attune to things like practicing skills you want to learn, emotional regulation, attentiveness, etc.

I fear I‘ll never be able the fully grasp the concepts that plague my thoughts. I‘ve come to know of their existence but the prospect of not being intelligent enough truly strikes fear into my bones. Frens, I‘m not ok. These results go against everything I‘ve been told and everything that gave me hope of one day exiting the fog that I so deeply feel lost in. Call it the death of my ego or an identity crisis but I am feeling very unwell.

Your IQ didn't drop man. Even serious druggies don't see their IQ drop by more 20 points. Unless you've somehow gotten brain damage (which would surprising unless you smoked gasoline or something) youre probably fine
