For years I've needed to lose weight, I'm right on the cusp of having to switch from metformin to actually shooting insulin and I'm on ozempic as a last ditch this year
Even after I've eaten my meal prep and done my exercise and been a good boy for the day, once it's night I'll go out and get everything i want. i can intellectually know it's bad for me and feel guilty but I'll go and get like
>in n out animal fries
>Panda Express Orange Chicken
>oreo shake from Baskin Robbins
(just an example, the point is it's like 3 or 4 items from different take outs every night)
Now I have to get my first colonoscopy and they told me: no more food for the 5 days before, just water and juice and broth... and you know what? I've done it flawlessly even though I'm famished as hell
Basically my question is why come when one doctor says I can't eat stuff for medical reasons i can just obey. but when it's multiple doctors over 10 years, my heart getting worse, my vision getting worse, i can feel gout pain in my toes that makes it take me an hour to get to sleep, i can't?
how do i make the discipline i have for the days before the colonoscopy, be just the normal way i deal with life? does that make sense?
