No one gives a shit about your SAT/ACT once you get a job, unless you're an Indian or Asian with helicopter parents, or that's your biggest achievement of life.

I went to one of those after school tutoring programs and half our teachers went to ivy leagues and bragged about their scores, yet they were still "looking for real jobs". Literally no one cares. The only thing that matters is a) your net worth, b) your current career and future career path, c) your social structure/ladder (i.e. family and kids, your friends, business connections).

how is that even possible. here in nebraska, you have to get your GED at the very least before you can go to any college or uni.

All that matters is: do you know your stuff?

College isn't just for 18 year olds anymore. Chances are that half the students will be older than you - which means that half the people taking the exam will be.

Who cares? I'm 30 and I'll be taking it next week. Good luck.

Not at all. 22 is still young and a lot of people hold off on college until they are older.
Keep in mind that some colleges might expect you to take community college classes before applying if you only have a GED. I ran into this with UW and opted to just go to community college.
On a college related note, check if the colleges you're applying to accept CLEP exams for credit. It saves a ton of time and money. I studied for my CLEP exams through Modern States and got a voucher for completing the course. I also used free-clep-prep fo prep exams. For each exam, I only studied for about two weeks.

This is very true. I knew plenty of people well into their 40s and 50s at school.
