Is it possible to live fully offline? Like no cable, email, smartphone etc. Seems like it's becoming impossible these days especially with wage slaving being necessary.

Not really feasible/affordable in most countries, no. You don't really want to pay trustees and lawyers every step of the way that is online now.

Yea there's the x% richest people who could but that percentage is low and even to them having no control is rather very risky.

But you also weren't able to live without paperwork in the past. I don't see it as a great advantage that it was on paper rather than online.

Well paper couldn't be stored and sent to 1000 advertisers

That it was perhaps more viable in theory to only send paper copies to 100 instead of 2000 advertisers is sort-of insubstantial - they just didn't allow it to be collected or used that way.

Boomers did allow it. That's the difference.

Instead of bothering thinking about going *fully* offline, find fun stuff to to replace your usual online routine with. Pick up drawing, find some actually fun books that you'd like and not pretentious shit that 5heads reccomend, start journaling.

Legit, it's pretty easy to move away from your addictions when there's a place to move to

Get a shitty android phone and only use work related computers and equipment
In your home, nothing else
You have the phone for text, phone calls, emails, and maps
You leave it in another room on vibrate and if youโ€™re not expecting a call or text from people to do something you leave it in that room
this shit is an easy thing to do

It is, and I've been considering it heavily as surveillance on the internet and elsewhere increases. It's just not healthy to be under constant watch by SOMETHING or somebody.

It's hard though. You might have to go back to the days of landline phones, answering machines, cash only, and other means. Disappearing completely is possible, though it has gotten harder.

Sure it's possible. Is it convenient? No. If you begin seriously researching such a life you will most likely find many things about it unacceptable. While you are complaining about this life technology has granted you, there are probably many aspects of it you like and are unwilling to give up.

Go learn bushcraft, get a job for a year or two and save the money to purchase essential supplies, then walk into the wilderness. That's all you need to do.

Of course you can, people do it all the time. You would have to live off the grid in total isolation to be 100% offline. The real question is, are you able to provide for yourself in that way?

I had a friend go completely off the grid back in 2012 and no one's heard from him since. I hope he's alive.
