I went from working a 24/7 job with unlimited OT to a lower paying 9-5 WFH cozy job with no OT and I don't know how I feel about it.
I'm a 25M loser with no hobbies, no gf, no kids so when I worked the job with unlimited OT I would constantly crank out 60-70 hours a week, work christmas, thanksgiving, etc.
I saw a job posting in the same company for a promotion and the job itself was really cool & WFH but it paid less & had no OT.
All of my co-workers are people in their 40s who came from my position and accepted that they look a lower paying job for the better lifestyle. It's a very, very chill job - but my problem is, I'm feeling kindof regretful that I accepted this job since I miss making all that OT and that I didn't mind working all those hours, but I'm sure I'd eventually get burnt out.
I don't know if I should quit, or if I just need a harsh reality check. I feel like I should be grinding in my youth for as much $ as possible but now I'm working a retirement job.
