I went from working a 24/7 job with unlimited OT to a lower paying 9-5 WFH cozy job with no OT and I don't know how I feel about it.

I'm a 25M loser with no hobbies, no gf, no kids so when I worked the job with unlimited OT I would constantly crank out 60-70 hours a week, work christmas, thanksgiving, etc.

I saw a job posting in the same company for a promotion and the job itself was really cool & WFH but it paid less & had no OT.

All of my co-workers are people in their 40s who came from my position and accepted that they look a lower paying job for the better lifestyle. It's a very, very chill job - but my problem is, I'm feeling kindof regretful that I accepted this job since I miss making all that OT and that I didn't mind working all those hours, but I'm sure I'd eventually get burnt out.

I don't know if I should quit, or if I just need a harsh reality check. I feel like I should be grinding in my youth for as much $ as possible but now I'm working a retirement job.

I'm the same age as you and in the same boat as you. No kids, wife and etc... I would have stayed doing OT. Keeps you busy and you're making extra money. Invest that extra money into shit. Invest for your future in case things don't pan out correctly.

Maybe find some hobbies and get a girlfriend and you wont feel that way. Do something with your free time

You can't get back to your old job? What's even the point of grinding if you don't really know what to do in your free time?
