As much as I hate work I hate calling in, I don’t really enjoy the extra time off because I dread going back and everyone being pissed at me.

I started this “good” job, Ive been here for 6 months and I need to call in for the 1st time. I came from a blue collar back ground to a white collar, I just seriously didn’t feel like listening to fat chicks talk too damn much all day while I have the shits and a splitting headache.
I left my supervisor a voicemail because the place isn't open yet.
I dont want to catch any flack when I get back, I have over 100 hrs pto and im always there.
I don’t want to get fired because I have 0 plans on what I would do afterwards.

How the hell can I communicate effectively that I’m actually sick and not staying home because I feel like it? The gossip here can be unreal.
I just want to cover my ass.

>go back to work
>say "I'm still not feeling too well but I should be okay to work, heh" loudly to a few people
>make sure boss hears
>work for a couple hours
>full-on shit your pants
They will believe you're sick after this masterful plan.

Just call in sick, or text if you have to. No one wants to get your disease.

One thing to watch out for is bosses getting mad at you if certain things didn't get completed that you normally do. But if an employee is sick then it's the supervisors responsibility to do it or find someone who can.

Oh and make sure you stay hydrated, that can help with your headache.
