Anyone of you anons ever get crippled? Like a life altering thing that left you disabled in some significant way?

What happened? How did you cope? What did you do with yourself?

I won't read survey threads about no-one in particular, on an advice board.

Not crippled per-se but I have a chronic injury.
A couple discs in my back are bulging/herniated. I have times where I’m free from pain and discomfort, which is something I’m grateful for, but it’s still an immense struggle as I’ve had it since I was 24 and I’m only 26. I struggle with it mentally every day, even if best case scenario I somehow manage to heal it to where I’m always pain-free, I will have to be mindful of it for the rest of my life. I think the worst part about it is how limiting it is. I do my best to accept it, and I’m definitely in a better headspace about it nowadays, but it’s still something I’m insecure and sad about.

A few things. Worked quite a few jobs where I wasn’t mindful of my posture. Spent a year in a deep depression where I basically wasted away. Then when I started noticing that my back got tweaked easily I went to an osteopath instead of a doctor and ever since then it’s been chronic. Wish more than anything I didn’t see that osteo but what’s done is done.
What’s wrong with your heart?

I've been crippled from birth so this isn't exactly what you want, but I couldn't imagine that because the wheelchair has always been my "normal". I mean, I know humans are surprisingly adaptable but I don't know how well I would personally adapt to a new "normal".

OH SHIT. I'm sorry to hear that, anon. What do you need?

I’m going to have to go with IwontReadGuy. We share our personal experience and Palantir will use it against us.

cardio fibrosis - my heart is scarred. doctors reckon it's from a virus, but it's the equivalent damage of having had a small heart attack in my early 30s.

i'm struggling to do much of anything. even sitting down tasks feel like a lot of effort and labour with how easily i get tired. the tiredness also makes me a grumpy cunt.

You gotta walk that shit off.
That’s about all I do, after barely being able to get up. I was all gimped up already but things really started going downhill after about the time I got the vaxx.

I didn't get the vaccine because I kept seeing people drop dead in the news

I also have dysautonomia, which sucks on its own, but is especially shit when your heart doesn't do its job well anyway
