If I was getting paid more than $30 an hour and if it isn't back-breaking work than I don't mind at all

Would depend on the job, the pay, and the time off structure. Generally I've always preferred to "condense" my week as much as possible because more time off consecutively is always more productive and you lose less time to commuting. Making OT would also impact my willingness to take that job.

You should also be aware that this is against the law in a few states and against the regulations of some industries, if you're operating any heavy machinery I'd look it up for your area at least because I have a feeling bossman will throw you under the bus if there's ever a liability issue.

I used to work in a three-shift (24 hour/day) establishment, and there was an active system of informal swapping of shifts. If there isn't such an arrangement there then start organizing one.

Tell your boss you want a 10 hour turn over minimum or pay a penalty.
Maybe that's is some union shit I picked up on a while back.
