I'm not looking to be high as a kite every single day, but if I decide to be a weekend warrior about it, is there still a decent chance I could be tested? The company I work for is based out of PA where weed is still technically illegal but literally no one cares. I'm new to banking so I don't really know what to expect as far as the culture around that sort of stuff, and I'm sure as shit not about to ask anyone

I'm at a company where random testing is the official policy and it's been over 4 years with no drug test, but I also waited for over a year after getting hired before smoking to make the determination that I was fine. I also hadn't noticed anyone else getting fired inconspicuously for what I would suspect was failed drug test.

Truly random drug testing that's done at a lab costs a good amount money and can actually get useful employees terminated. In my opinion unless you're working for the government or some contractor where compliance is a thing, random drug testing is just a tool the company can use when they already want someone gone.

the likelihood they test you within the first 12 months sounds very high. my guess is it’s a mouth swab test but yes getting high every weekend you will fail it
