daughters of absent fathers and shitty moms don't wanna replicate that for their offspring generally, are fiercely opposed to having kinds in some cases, want to genuinely fall in love and stay with a single dude (usually older) to make up for lost time with dad, study very hard to be more than what her mom ever was (I have actually some relatives that went that route).
Meanwhile the boys are a mess. Rage, gangs, drugs, alcohol, trying to feel powerful very young for whatever method they can, don't see value in studies or organizing their lives, they just want a lot of money without stopping to think where can you actually get that and make it make sense, and someone to punch

yes they go through that partying phase like every teenager and without a parent to call them repeatedly asking them to go early back home they can go overboard but even then the first pregnancy scare usually sets them straight
