React stoically.

You CANNOT change your past regrets. You will NEVER learn from or move on from them.

Would it help to know that its more embarassing that you think anyone else cares about whatever stupid shit you are thunking over?

You pore over what it is and why it happened. Write everything down, write out whar and how it affected you and others. Write down what you did to reconcile those things. Ask yourself if you're satisfied with how you handled things, if there's a reasonable way to seek someone's apology or their forgiveness. If there's not, and nothing can be done now, you write a letter to each person involved and focus on each part of it. Write in any of the letters that you understand that you cannot change the past and that they can't either, and that you want to accept yourself instead of living in a cycle of regret over what happened.

Learn to live with them. Staying busy will keep your mind off them, but eventually they will creep back. Try not to repeat them.

You need to reframe exactly what your sins and regrets are, and what to do with them.

I've been struggling with the same issue and I realized that my past is not a crown of thorns to be worn. Suffering from my past changes nothing, it doesn't absolve me, it just prevents me from moving forwards.

Our sins and regrets are teachers. They are there to show us what we did wrong, and how to better move forward with our lives as people who are better than where we came from.

Once you start seeing your past like that, things will start to fall into place, and you can start to grow.

That person is no longer you, if you changed, if you haven't then you're still guilty as ever.
