Where do I shop to get a really nice well fitted suit? I went to Men's Warehouse and they made me look like a waiter. I don't want to look like I serve dishes, sell cars, or belong in a wedding. But I don't want to look pretentious, either. I want a proper suit like those you see in Ocean's 11 or a more modern James Bond flick. I just want to look good in a suit. No real goals beyond that.

Spier & Mackay. Make sure you know your measurements and follow their sizing guide. Decent prices and a wide variety of styles.

If something fits you perfectly off the rack, you are fucking lucky. Go to a tailor, even if you get the cheapest suit from HM. A good tailor truly does wonders. And remember, rocking a suit isn't just about the suit, but the overall aesthetic - shoes, shirt, your posture.

If I were to see pic rel in real life I'd immediately think "Oh, a guy wearing an old suit". Suits have changed quite a lot since then. Also look at the terrible sleeves, almost covering his whole hand. Makes you look sloppy. The blazer is way too long and just messes up his proportions. This is not really a look to go for, in my opinion. It is quite dated.

/fa/ spergs out once they hear suits. It is a big no-no.

P.S. I have like 8 suits already, rocking them daily when the weather allows for it. Everything goes through the tailor before I start wearing it.

Fit body + good custom tailor. That's all.
