Why do I find it so difficult to focus on something.
I don't mean like ADHD. It's more about making changes in life.
Any good idea I have, positive change I want to make, something I take an interest in, it might stick in my mind for a few days at best, before I lose sight of it.
For instance, trying to stick to a routine so that I can practice certain good habits I would like to have. You would think that is very straightforward. You know what you want/need to do, have a checklist and everything. All you need to do is remember to do it. And I don't. Most of the time that's not out of laziness or procrastination, but it simply leaves my mind and I forget about it.
Another example, there are a few hobbies and interests that I have been saying for years I would like to do some day. Sometimes I feel more motivated to do that, but I won't start because it always feels like I need to get myself organised first. Then I forget about it again. And it pretty much completely leaves my mind until something reminds me of it, and I'm like "oh yeah I wanted to try doing that".
It's really frustrating. I feel stuck and I feel like there's no way forward. Nothing I seem to try and do sticks.
Does anyone else experience this kind of thing? Did anyone manage to overcome it?
