So, my best friend is going through rough times with his GF, they lived together for almost 3 years and they been in a relationship for 10 years. He texted me telling me he´s not ok because they been fighting a lot and are in "bad times" rn, they went to their first couple therapy last monday but yesterday they talked about not "stretching the relationship" anymore. But the thing is, i dont really know what to say to him, and i dont want him to suffer because he´s my best friend and i love him so much. And i want to be there for him, so how can i be more supportive for him?

>also i´ve been in a relationship too for 11 years but only 1 year living with my girl. I can say a few advices too but i don´t really know what to say to him

Just hang out with him and let him vent. Have him over for some drinks or go to a bar or bowling or fishing or some shit. Create a male only space and let him at least talk to someone who isn't a woman or someone he has to pay to speak to. That's all guys really need to do for each other. Just let him talk about the issues if he feels like it and ask open ended questions. He can make his own conclusions, but often, talking a situation out can help people realize things, especially men who actually want to solve problems.
