The great biblical scholar, Ted Cruz, said that the bible says that "those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed."

Where does it say that?

it is important to note that Israel in the Bible was a kingdom made by God and the modern nation state that named itself "Israel", a secular democratic nation, was made by man

worshipping things made by man is strictly against the rules

nta, but it's agreed historically that Israel is symbolical (kingdom of God), not literal, because the State of Israel never existed and it's a recent creation post wwII (lol)

Give me a verse which makes it clear that God never intended people to be monogamous.

Then one which makes it clear that slavery is acceptable.

Then one that justifies murder.

Then one that justifies incest.

Then one that makes it clear that God is frightened of Humanity's potential.

Monogamy
> Genesis 2:24
also every instance of multiple wives in the Bible is accompanied by major problems for example Moses, Abraham, David, and Solomon all suffered due to multiple wives.

Slavery
> 1 Corinthians 7:23
The OT has rules for keeping slaves, but the OT also has rules for building a boat and saving a pair of every animal. That is to say the OT is mostly timely, with many timeless morals and lessons, but very timely ceremonial/judicial customs

also, I should mention the Book of Job, it discusses at length "why bad things happen to good people" and in the end God comes to Job and tells him that man can never know or understand why things happen/God's plan so don't even bother guessing lol.

If I have interpreted that wrong somebody lmk

I think that is the whole point imho. Also Job is sort of a chore to read all of the arguments/back and forth but it is worth it because the part at the end is God's longest monologue in the whole Bible iirc

>also every instance of multiple wives in the Bible is accompanied by major problems for example Moses, Abraham, David, and Solomon all suffered due to multiple wives.
In which case, none of those are acceptable answers to my question. I asked for examples that make it clear God DIDN'T intend us to be monogamous. Genesis 29-30 is a possibility.

>Slavery
> 1 Corinthians 7:23
Again, I was asking for justification for slavery, so this is disqualified.

>>33254062
>Murder
>thou shalt not kill
I was asking for something that justifies murder, so no. There are countless examples of this; the first one that happened to come into my mind was Genesis 34.

>Incest
>Leviticus 18:6
And again, we were looking for justification for incest, so you're 0 for 4 so far. Genesis 19, verses 30-38 would have been a possibility.

>God frightened? Laughable concept
Two extremely clear examples of that, off the top of my head, are Genesis 3 verse 22, and Genesis 11 verse 6, but I'm sure there are others.

Well, if you think about what a rocket taking off or hovering looks like, during the day you see mostly a huge column of smoke or steam; but at night you see flames. So it's pretty obvious that's what a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night represents. (Exodus 13 verses 21-22). But there's a far more interesting description of aliens and an alien vehicle in Ezekiel chapter 1: read it, it's remarkably detailed.

I feel like nobody besides my family actually values me.
That gets even worse when the subject is relationships and women (hetero man here). I don't know why, but I don't ever get to be important, valued, even respected by them. I'm a good man, not a nice guy, so it seems there's something in me that is the problem.
How can I overcome this feeling, or this situation? It's been clawing at me for so long, I'm starting to get afraid.
