Went on a first date with this girl who’s a plastic surgeon. We were talking and out of nowhere she goes,

>“You’ve actually got really good bone structure and a good mid face. If you lost some weight, your face would change a lot, in a good way.”

I kinda laughed and said “So I’m ugly now?” and she just smiled and said,

>“No, I just see the potential. I work with faces, trust me.”

She wasn’t being mean or anything, but it’s been stuck in my head. Like, was that just her being honest? Or is that her nice way of saying I’m mid as hell right now?

Chubby people with good bone structure look good even when a bit fat, so losing weight (ideally sub 12%) highlights the bone structure even more

I think you knew this tho and just wanted to brag you got complimented or whatever

she was assessing your face to how it could look better. She legit told you. She makes faces look better for a living and while on a date for you she studied your face and was thinking how to make it look better

it's just her work bro
I have a friend who is a gynecologist
he has learned the hard way not to comment about the pussies of the girls he dates because they never take it well even when it's a compliment but you know, she sees a lot of faces everyday and judging them is her business, completely unrelated to her romatic life.
would you feel insecure if she made a comment on your average financial skills if you were dating a finantial advisor or something.

She talked about my face for nearly 10 minutes until our food arrived. I haven’t dated since high school, so I just sat there kind of confused. The date was nice overall, I just found that part a little weird.

she's a bit autistic about her job
many female doctors are a bit autistic if I have to be honest
I guess the years of isolation when studying or the fact that they dealt with many serious things in the past so small stuff like facial structure doesn't seem like a big deal to them.

Why do you think this is some kind of cryptic thing when it isn't cryptic at all. Se's a plastic surgeon. People are paranoid she's gonna judge them and draw lines in them with sharpie, so she just laid out what she thinks, which was both honest and positive.

Pfffffhahahahahahaha you got negged.

Nah but for real she was just paying you an oddball compliment. She sounds a bit autistic in a fun way. Don’t overthink it.

(Also lose weight fatso)
