I have a job, apartment, car, and I've lost 40 lbs, lifes been crazy and I've just really been focusing on turning into something worthwhile.

The thing is I'm afraid to talk to women because I know that the first women who says yes, that's my wife...like, every time I talk to a woman this could potentially be the biggest decsion I'll ever make. So I'm intimidated to talk to them

How do I overcome this irrational fear that every woman I meet could potentially be the woman I spend my life with?

The thing is you don't just ask for a date right away, you make conversation and if she seems to like you (she'll make it obvious) then you ask to meetup for drinks, coffee dates are lame. Don't do that.

Don't try to live for the world, we're all animals and we all wanna reproduce, but many don't achieve it for one reason or the other. If you fail, you won't be the first and you won't be the last, so build something greater then yourself and stop lusting after bland women, becuase if that's your end goal, you have a bland personality yourself!
You can still score with younger chicks until you're like 50, much more time than some people who've chosen to take vows in case they don't find love before a certain time. My foremost advice for confidence would be for you to take up a sport, preferably a one in which you can get hurt badly, like skateboarding. I'm 21 and i see so many girls gleering at me, but i haven't talked to one, because i know that me doing sometrthing and risking a lifelong injury is much more worthy than staring at a guy half-naked from a bench. Focus on yourself and have some self worth, carry the cross.

Where do you live, OP? Environment matters for this kind of thing. Ideally you're close to an urban environment with a population greater than ~ 1/2 million
