I'm suffering from unexplained lung issues and chronic fatigue and memory and focus issues I never used to have, I've been too ill to do a degree for years, I have no money, got ED post COVID, have no honed hobbies skills or talents despite scoring good on IQ and my country's version of the SATs and my family are dead. Also possibly have undiagnosed ADHD / Aspergers as my organisation and time allocation is atrocious and planning for the future gives me existential dread so I just retreat back to distractions. What can I even do? No suicide

Other than that, how are you doing?

Find a productive distraction if you HAVE to be distracted that you can use in some form as a money producer later. Don't know where you're from but look at disability if you can't work. If at all possible, find a low stress service job where you're forced to interact with people.

The most important thing is to stop using the distractions for enjoyment and slowly replacing them with something fulfilling. Nothing is going to change unless you face that part of you that tells you it's too hard to do anything but lay down and scroll.

Check blood glucose, extreme variation of which can cause brain fog and fatigue. You can get a cheap BC meter now. Glucose girl explains it all: https://www.youtube.com/@GlucoseRevolution

Have you been tested for sleep apnea?

I was never a fan of minimizing things down to one possibility. There are a million things that could be wrong with OP and he should probably get a biochemistry test. Like hypothyroidism can cause what OP is describing. However, I have to point to this, because I struggled for decades with fatigue and brain fog and shit memory, and it DID turn out in my 30s to be "i don't know how to feed myself properly" and I was essentially just carb shocking myself constantly while not consuming healthy fats which the brain needs to run properly.

First clue was taking omega 3s for 2 weeks when I was 34 or something and feeling like my IQ went up 80 points. Then bit by bit learned more about diet.

Its a huge deal, and people really, really don't respect it as much as they should.
