If everyone lies, how can people ever trust their husband / wives?
The second someone lies to me I find it incredibly hard to ever get over it - even if it's not a massive lie. I've broken off every relationship I've had over trust issues and every relationship I've seen is just people being willfully ignorant. I've never fully trusted anyone in my adult life and it's confusing how anyone else can

>If everyone lies, how can people ever trust their husband / wives?
sometimes it's much easier to be honest and play things without cheating & deceit, especially when the positives of lying & cheating are not that much good whereas the negative penalty of getting caught is extremely high. Again, it depends on the situation. Say there's a woman married to an avg statured, balding betabuxx delux and suppose a dolph lundgren look alike who's 6'5 joins her department in her workplace. The woman just has an insane amount of shit to gain by even being used and tossed aside as a cum rag by the Lundgren lookalike because he's got god tier genetics, genetics that the woman desperately wants to introduce in her lineage and ensure that her progeny(her insurance against genetic death) ends up in a higher rung of the socio-genetic hierarchy. in such a situation the woman will definitely lie & decieve her betabuxx cuck and do whatever she can to have a child with that chad man.
As a rule of thumb, if you belong to a higher rung of the socio-genetic ladder, there's less worrying for you as the amount of men your woman can cheat with are low whereas if you belong to a lower rung of the socio-genetic ladder, you will be constantly stressed if your woman is looking for better options, which she will before she hits the wall.

You view things too hypergamous.

Women frequently cheat with men to be perceived lower on the socio-economic ladder.
>she fucked her ex boyfriend
>she fucked her drug dealer
>she fucked the pool boy
etc

Also the higher up you go on the ladder, your options will also have better options. We constantly see high status men getting cheating on
>Tom Brady
>Pete Davidson
>Jude Law
>Robert Pattinson

It goes on. People at the top have more problems, not less. Your understanding of evolutionary psychology pidgeons holes you into thinking too binary about status, height, frame and generic shit only men care about. Where as women will get swept into a fantasy and fuck anyone

Love is the act of giving someone your entire being and trusting them not to betray it. If there is no trust there is no love. Its not the lack of trust you need to deal with but rather whatever crippling fear inside of you that keeps other people at arm's distance so you never have to be vulnerable with them. I'm guessing you've experienced some betrayal or abandonment in your life and this has now manifested itself as an inability to meaningfully bond with the people around you.

yes, people cheat for variety of reasons, but on average it's almost always for better genetics. That's the reason why I used the dolph lundgren lookalike as an example as it's the extremes that helps you capture the essence or the idea viz the avg woman punching way above her weight as it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb the genetic hierarchy where she can hopefully end up having a son or daughter who'll grow up to be high status, intelligent, highly attractive individuals who's genes will be highly sought after.

Uhh, yeah I’m gonna go ahead and say I could give a fuck about what he says lol
>but le epic science says
Look, social sciences have weak correlations and almost no incentives to tell us anything other than the most obvious of shit. They find 10% of truths an Irish poet knew 300 years ago and something advertising knew 1,000 years ago.
>but he said women want to fuck the guys they cheat with more
Still not causation and you’re saying found them more attractive, not genetically better

>not genetically better
no animal consciously thinks animal A is genetically better than animal B. They just do it on instincts. Attraction literally means choosing one phenotype(and by extension it's associated genotype) over the other. Look at peacocks' mating pattern and then tell if the peahen doesn't find the bigger feathered peacocok to be 'attractive' more than the one with smaller feathers, with the feather size & perception of feather sizes being highly heritable. Even peacock spiders do this shit and indulge in crap like dancing & drumming, which again is highly heritable

The problem is you don’t know why Jack Nicholson got laid or why David Spade was a sex symbol or how Pete pulled more attractive women than anyone else in the last 10 years
>well Pete is tall rich and handsome
>well Jack was a movie star
>David spade was rich

Yet according to your own theories all the women they fucked had access to men who would beat them 10:1 in your rigid values.
They had swag, they had aura - they deep dicked those hoes and learned that humans are creatures who enjoy storytelling.
Yes hypergamy exists but the qualifying factors men use for it are wildly wrong. We represent archetypes and your archetype will be more or less attractive to women independent of just height, shoulder to waist ratio - etc. That archetype will be used to tell a story. It’s an inexplicable - it’s a Jen se quois.
>but those are just anecdotal outliers!!!
But comparing us to spiders and peacocks is more tangible?

Instead of justifying yourself you should probably try to recognize this excessiveness is mental illness on your part.

Why project on everyone else? People tell little white lies sometimes, most people tell the truth when it matters, but you? I have to trust you knowing if Im caught In a tiny faux pas (or even if you just think i lied) youre gonna go scorched earth? Am I supposed to feel under constanr scrutiny in a friendship with you because you have weird hangups? Why aren't you a problem here?

I do seem to be a massive outlier so I will concede that at the very least.

>I have to trust you knowing if Im caught In a tiny faux pas (or even if you just think i lied) youre gonna go scorched earth?
So you lie to me - and your response is I need you to trust that I won't leave over this? Why is that? If I'm not lying to you - why is not about me consoling you when you fuck up? Where is the line drawn? It doens't really add up.

>you fuck me over
>hey now that ive fucked you over you need to be nice
But my lived experiences are that when they do fuck me over, I can no longer feel comfortable with them

Everyone lies sometimes, anon. For example, would you be willing to lie to someone in order to get them to go somewhere where their friends have organised a surprise party for them? Most people would. And the person whose party it is would quite likely be happyb that you did. You need to stop thinking in terms of moral absolutes.

>but then how do people decipher when to trust someone?
By paying attention to whether they tell the truth when it matters, and not treating all lies as being of equal importance.

Another example: most parents tell their children that Santa Claus is real. That's a lie; but not everyone who tells that particular lie is a bad person. But if someone tells you they're being faithful to you while actually cheating, that's a very serious lie, it does make them a bad person, and you should leave them. You need to learn what's important and what isn't.
