I am so tired of being on my computer and playing games. I am a gym frequent and people don't really bother each other there so it's rather rare to get to know someone there, it's literally easier to get a girlfriend there. Besides gym I am just waiting for my university to start. I made a lot of friends on vacation and it was some of the coolest experience in the world simply because I got to talk with real people and not with someone through the internet, problem is - we are from different parts of the country and of course we could meet every once in a while but I just crave this feeling of belonging in some place locally, of having a group of friends.
So here's my question: Where do I make irl friends? The one's that aren't fake and share similar interests to mine.

university is really great for making friends, because everyone is hungry for friends there. besides that, i'd recommend going to local bars, and if that isn't an option, go to some local shows (there's a great punk rock scene in my town). that way, if you don't meet any cool people, you have some musical acts to watch. bottom line though: keep trying! but don't try too hard. just be yourself and people will flock to you :^)

Join an actual sports team, sportsball or martial arts or whatever is your thing. Try a few things and find out what you gel with and how you like the people. If you end up sticking with it, you will be part of a community.
