Hey, that's okay. I think that under certain circumstances this is beneficial as it will allow you to have more fruitful and open relationships with people who actually care about you. Of course there is pain, but I think that associstion with pain is closer to being an authentic human than most people will get to.

Well I have only ever known one autistic girl - my SIL. She is a grade A fucking asshole. She was already pretty self-centered and annoying when we met, but it got 10x worse after the autism diagnosis. She has made being autistic her entire identity and personality. She insists on wearing sunglasses 24/7 because light is "too stimulating". She always requests to be allowed to set up custom lighting at work and being allowed to wear headphones so she doesn't get "overstimulated". She immediately tells everyone she meets that she is autistic and uses it to be an asshole and talk shit to everyone's face and insult people. If you call her out or get upset she complains that you have to give her allowances because she is autistic and can't help it and you're just sensitive and an ableist privileged neurotypical. She complains that it is basically impossible to make friends as an autist, but it is only because she is so hellbent on veing an autist. She was still a total asshole before the diagnosis, but despite that she was one of the most sociable people I have ever known and made friends fucking everywhere she went, it was crazy how good she was at talking to strangers.

You need to be really careful. My bf of 5 years dumped me a few months ago and I didn't even realize I had zero friends other than him, until I felt so shitty I needed to talk to someone and realized I literally talked to no one else. So try to make other friends, putting everything into your bf seems romantic but he can dump you at any time and then you'll go into a suicidal downward spiral with no one to catch you. It's the only breakup I've ever had and had no idea it could hurt that bad. Friends are so important. I've managed to make one friend since then - a girl who was also going through a breakup - and we trauma bonded over our exes and it's made me feel so much better just having this one friend. Maybe even saved my life.
