Wrong reason to be catholic, you'd go to hell for sure

You cartainly can perform your duties as a physician, and you are still being a good and worthy child of the Lord.

So, don't bring it up at church. Doctor-patient confidentiality. Your secret is safe with me.

you gotta come to classically catholic countries like italy or latam to see how it really is instead of making a super trad image in your mind out of it.

If you so feel that way, then do follow your heart. Do you feel you would best serve humanity and the Lord by strictly adhering to the principles of your chosen faith, or by helping patients with the best care, love and compassion a physician can provide. I will also remind you that as a doctor, you will be talking to men before they get this procedure to make sure it is what they really want to do, and perhaps with you in that position, they will want to reconsider going through with it.

I feel like I can make society a lot better by being able to do vasectomies and prescribing birth control for certain patients

Talk to your priest about this. The first step is always to actually go to your local parish and talk to the priest. Visit Mass today, Anon. Let go of
>based and tradpilled
and just trust the Lord.

These are both questions for which there is no objective answer to. You may be guided to wisdom by finding examples of those throughout the ages who have violeted the laws of the land or the church, but in doing so, performed acts of love in compassion in great service to humanity and the Lord.

>birth control
Isn't this also against the Catholic faith? And regardless, I would argue that if you would be willing to participate in distributing this method of contraception, then vasectomies are no more immoral. You know they can be reversed right?

yes it is. and yeah i know but still doctors are forbidden from doing vasectomies, tube ties, or birth control in catholicism, unless it follows the principle of double effect where the primary purpose isn't sterilization, like if someone has a cancer in their balls and in order to remove it they get sterilized in the process

People throw out "they can be reversed" like there are zero complications/risks/failures. If someone really, really needs to have condomless sex, they should be getting their wife/gf on birth control for X amount of years if they want kids someday. Vasectomy is for when you KNOW you never want to breed.
