Only eat between certain hours (one meal a day). Only non-caloric beverages outside that time window.

This. Losing weight is simple but it isn't easy. Consistently eating healthy makes it a lot easier. Junk food fucks with your satiety and makes you feel hungrier faster even though it's higher in calories. If you want to eat a lot buy cucumbers. Eat two of those fuckers late at night and you'll be full. Cucumbers with tajin are a great snack. The longer you so this the less hungry you'll feel on average.

i never understood how people can just gain weight like nothing.

eating requires effort: buying the food (or taking the time to prepare it), setting time aside to actually eat it, and even the physical act of putting food in your mouth requires effort. you can literally just not eat and that takes no effort.

Do you have any other meal/snack recommendations? Everyone always says "eat less move more" but don't actually mention food with higher satiety.

I CICOd my way down 30 pounds in 3 and a half ish months. A lot of it was eating proteins to reach satiety, lowering but still consuming carbs, and veggies to shit it all out. Honestly my diet was and still mostly consisted of frozen high protein chicken nuggets, and lean double cheeseburgers/chicken sandwiches, salads, and protein shakes during those months. If you buy fatass food, stop stocking it at home. It took two years for me to get used to my new metabolism and im going on year 4 of lifting 3 times a week. Lifting is good but understandably not always as accessible to everyone so frankly any exercise is better than none if there's actually science to it (no bosu balls). Go to fat loss general on /fit/ maybe.

Eat less, eat more low carb foods like salad. Focus on something else so maybe you'll think less about food.
Do lots of cardio, get a job such as a warehouse worker that requires you do much movement.

You might want to try a low carb diet, possibly keto. The main benefit of low carb diets is that you feel less hungry for the same number of calories consumed.

do low carb. The biggest advantage is that you won't be able to order anything anymore, or buy premade meals. Then once you got used to eating like that, you can start calorie tracking. You can also do keto, but it can be a bitch and you might feel shit for weeks. Or get addicted to opiates.
