How do I stop being a terrible person? I was just walking home with a coffee and a donut (you know, a healthy breakfast) and some old bitch got out of her van and asked for help with … something. I don’t know. Unloading shit from her van? I ignored her and kept on. As I did, she kept yelling for my attention and then started into whining that I’d ignored her.
I just don’t get it. I don’t bother strangers so why do they bother me? Why did my happening by her obligate me to help? Was I supposed to help her? If so, what established that “supposed to?”

Your bait skipped tracks in the middle. You begin by asking
>How do I stop being a terrible person?
And then make it clear that you don't think there's anything wrong with you and you don't want to change. If you had managed to maintain a consistent tone, it would have been more effective bait. 2 out of 10.
