I'm 29. Finished my bachelors of computer science at around 24.

Im not stupid just lack motivation, a LOT

Since then, I could never get a software engineering job. I just wasnt lucky. I was close a few times.

Ive always had to settle for help desk type roles, some better than others.

I need something I can do to make 6 figures, without any more school. Something I can self study hard for a year straight and begin making good money.

I was thinking of teaching myself mechanical engineering, and from there, just making shit and selling it. But this seems easier said than done.

Wtf can I do?

Have you tried an employment office? I may gave gotten my new job from wandering around the streets, but it is much more successful to get employment from a job office.

go to law school, its 3 years instead of 1, but there is no advanced degree more consistently bankable so you'll quickly make your opportunity cost back

obviously try to get a software engineering job you fucking retard. you already have the education for it, why sink more time into some other shit for no reason?

You didn't get a job because you fucking suck and have no motivation and are probably terrible at job searching. Go do leetcode. Build a portfolio. Do some independent projects.

Bro you have a bachelor's in CS, you are acting retarded. Just keep trying to get a job and you will be at 6 figures more reliably than trying your half-assed entrepreneurship shit.

then no, you won't get a six figure white collar job. not that it's the thing everyone needs to do or anything. but completing your degree with no internships automatically makes you non competitive. all engineering fields will think the same

your idea of just studying more isn't going to work, the type of world where good grades and knowledge alone got you something died with the 20th century

This is good advice too, thanks.

The issue is, my resume doesn't even get looked at. Just auto rejections. Seems like there is no entry level jobs. I dont even get to the interview stage. Of course with I.T., I often do get a job, just very crappy pay most of the time.
