How do I get out more often?
I lack social skills and don't have many friends, those I have are not close and I cannot ask them out.
I am seeking a job but what else can I do to get out more often.
I do go out for a walk several times a day but for short periods of time.

Recreational and/or commuter biking. I seek out places like that painting, to go with my e-bike.

Spice up the walking. Do dumbbell curls while you walk.

No

I'm introverted.
Also by getting out more I meant mainly socializing with other people

find teams to be part of
you'll find more like-minded people doing things you like

obviously work or volunteering would be best because most things cost money

but a good start might be sports - public basketball court, join an amateur team (maybe a walk/run club), join ANY kind of gym (i pay $35/week for unlimited visits to an indoor bouldering gym, not a very social activity but i'm on first name basis with like 5 other regulars), sign up for a marathon or fun-run (the vibe at these are usually great)

Seconding this, plus it's summer so people will be out and about, especially in the mornings/sunset. You don't need to be a good runner because even moms and generally unfit people try it in public very slowly, even at those events >>>/fit/76296393

Your interests and hobbies. Make acquaintances, turn them into friends, expand your social circle by meeting your friends friends. Try new interests, repeat.
