What are the best websites artists these days? Is the internet viable anymore as a way of promoting your works? I hate mainstream platforms like Instagram and alternative platforms like tumblr have very unlikeable types there. I’ve considered newgrounds but it seems like it’s a den for mainly NSFW artists and gooners. It’s hard out here if you’re not looking to draw fanart and just want to make original works.

I don't know, but it seems to me that people will want your work for a reason: political, philosophical, erotic, or something that panders to their pre-existing state of mind. the market for your output does not exist in a vacuum.
