Hi i need help with stopping watching gore. Im addicted since i was 8 (17 now) i found "comfort" in it after ive seen my best friend at that time get hit and crushed under a car and i cant stop watching it since. I need help because i understood that its not normal to find comfort in those things and im worried about my girlfriend finding out shes really against anything "bad" or "18+" we can say.

this is way above the paygrade of anons here bro, I would strongly advice you to seek therapy, the response to a tragedy like that is understandable in some sort of way so there is no shame in sharing this with a therapist, but it's not healthy to continue, specially finding that comforting in any way.

Absolutely seek therapy, not being mean they can potentially help you.
