Men can still pair bond. But women can't after a certain number.
My count's around the high 40's (late 30's). I've been able to fall DEEPLY in love with a woman when my number was in the high 30's or low 40's.
But I've never met a woman with a high body count who actually seemed in love with their partner. All the women I've met in functioning relationships either met young or clearly aren't the type with a high partner count.
