This job I applied for has EIGHT (40) minute interviews.
Is this reasonable?

No its not reasonable. And its a good indication of the bullshit to come. However, you might not have a choice. And if you go through the process, other interviews will probably seem easy. You can look at it as interview prep even if you dont get the job. Personally, I really wonder what you could possibly talk about for 5 hours and 20 minutes.

what's the pay/seniority? if it's some 50k/year job, then that's a huge red flag. higher level executive shit i can see them requiring multiple interviews (though 8 sounds excessive)

It's not that unusual, I've done several like that (on both sides). Eight is probably the max though, if you get through the first seven interviews then the eighth one will almost certainly be the job offer.

That’s not even a day’s work. Idk, I do not think it is that weird. I had to talk with multiple interrogators, the last couple times.
