Anyway my question is, what type of person doesn't answer things if they know them. And second what I am if even if I don't have all the Knowledge I threw caution to the wind and just BS my way?

Decades ago there were studies of schoolkids that uncovered that many are driven far more by the fear of getting it wrong than the pride in getting it right - so much so that they wouldn't speak up in class even when they knew the answer, on the tiny chance they might be wrong. In some cases they would give the same answer someone else just gave, even though it got them no credit, because it had been established as "right."

Some people carry that into college.
