It's not so bad. We love animals. We have a high tolerance for eccentricity. We drink too much. But most of the stuff you'll read on /pol is utter bollocks: read what they say there and you'd think the whole of London was being run like Iran. There are certainly better places - Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany - but there are an awful lot of worse places too. At least you probably won't get shot, and if you do, medical treatment is free.

UK seems fine to me, but I'm upper middle class. Main downside is just that it gets dark quickly in winter and people don't take care of their food or their looks. People will try and tell you it's uniquely bad or something but it's a perfectly normal Western country. We are currently having a high rate of youth unemployment though.

im a bong from a poor town in the rich part (south east) and my town is at least 50% immigrant now. its not a bad life at all, im upper working class but have a nice albeit small house, cosy job, can afford to go out or treat myself when i want and a cat and a dog who i love very much. but immigration and being surrounded by third worlders really is ruining it. im lucky to live here and i love english culture and my heritage but i dont want to live by a mosque that shouldn't be here or with muslims who i disagree with, or even christian africans , i just want to live among my own and yeah at some point a racial element does come into it because even if theyre citizens or 1st/2nd gen immigrants theyre not english. they mostly grow up in their own cultures and i don't feel any connection with them nor do most other ethnic english i've seen talk about this. i want to be around my people because if im gonna be foreign might as well fuck off to somewhere like sweden where at least things are nicer.
food is fine though. i've never understood the hatred for perhaps not the most flavoursome meals but ones that are hearty and homely.
