I now have enough money to buy a flat or a terraced house up norf in the UK. Has any anon here been in this situation and can help me decide?

Pros of the flat:
> Looks more sleek and stylish
> Better location
> Reserved parking
> Probably better neighbours

Pros of terraced house:
> No service charge so probably cheaper in the long run
> No neighbour above or below me
> Could get a pet (not sure if flats allow them heard most don't)
> Freehold - but the flats i'm looking at have hundreds of years on their lease anyway

I am only a delivery driver and I think i'll probably be a low earner for the rest of my life so the service charge seems like a big deal to me. My mum is helping me with this purchase though and was pushing the flats on me

The difference is mostly a matter of lifestyle. The flat is probably in the centre of town, with the access to social/shopping opportunities that involves, the house more of a suburban setting, with more of a small-town feel

That's true the flat is not only in the centre of town but within 30 miles of 3 cities which will each have Amazon depots I can deliver from. The house is near the coast in a more remote area so less depots to work from and less work in general. The social aspect doesn't affect me so much being a loser/outcast who maybe touches a woman once every 3 years :D
