I am a 26 year old, 5'4" guy. I have never had a girlfriend in my whole life.

I used to work as a software engineer. But now I'm doing my PhD. My family is very wealthy and I play classical music. So these are some positive attributes.

I must have asked about 10 girls out in my lifetime and I got rejected each time. I tried Hinge once and I went out with a girl who was very badly behaved and she was literally twice my weight (about 200 pounds). This was the only person who swiped right on me. She was just using me for attention and had no intention of actually dating me.

Honestly I'm not looking for beautiful girls or amazing sex or anything. I'm genuinely worried I might never get married and remain single my entire life. What's especially troubling is that I have a lot of female "friends", so it's not that girls find me repulsive. They just wouldn't date a manlet like me. "It's your personality bro" isn't the issue with me. How likely is this scenario that I will never have a wife or kids and stay alone forever? Will things change when I'm 35 or 40?

I think the reason girls hang out with me is that my dad is rich and I am seen as harmless. I don't drink or smoke or do drugs, and I can't put up with girls who do that. This has further narrowed the pool of women I could potentially date.

I think things can change. You should try to hang out with lower crowds. How outgoing you are matters. Also having a family and stuff is overrated and we might have better options in like 10-20 years. Not saying you shouldn't have a family, just that it's not important or that great. Single old people are usually happier if they aren't isolated. People with families have more default meaning, but perhaps you could find meaning or use philosophy to deconstruct the meaning they find until it seems meaningless.

5'2 woman here. Honestly 5'4 is insanely short for a guy. I'd want my boyfriend to be at least a head taller, so 5'8 maybe.
