I've never heard of it being used for OCD.

I take NAC, 3 x 1g/day with an equal amount of glycine. The combination ("Glynac") has been show to increase glutathione production youthful levels in older people. Glutathione is "the master anti-oxidant" and mops up the oxygen radicals that cause many kinds of inflammation, which in turn are implicated, by inflammation and cell death, in many age-related disorders. I am remarkably free of the aches and pains that my contemporaries experience; skin un-wrinkled although you wouldn't mistake me for a young person. LOL.

Bottom line is that I see no reason not to try it if your condition might in any way have inflammation involved.

NAC tastes terrible and can make my stomach uncomfortable, while glycine is sweet, so I take a 1g tablet of NAC broken in half for easier dissolving before it reaches the large intestine (I know from experience that big, nasty-tasting, slow-dissolving tablets can burn a hole in the bowel) along with a cup of tea/coffee sweetened with the glycine. That's three times per day.

I think you should eat Alaska canned salmon or take Nordic naturals fish oil, and perhaps look into other deficiencies in your diet using grok
