Does anyone have experience with lip percings or more specifically snakebites?

Piercer told me for recovery I should move around the jewelry through the hole a couple times when I clean it, is that true? It just hurts for a ridiculous amount and everywhere online tells me to never touch them during recovery process.

Another question, the swelling is so crazy it feels like i got botched lip fillers, are my lips really supposed to almost double in size overnight? I got my snakebites 2 days ago but even then this feels like a lot.

Any advice for healing at all is appreciated

piercings, just as tattoos are degenerate and cringe AF.
in more older times, slaves got piercings in their ears according to their worth.
iron or bronze piercings were higher than wood ones, lower than silver and ofc lower than slaves with golden piercings in their ears.
slaves with golden piercings were free after 10 years, yet their holes in their ears would stay.
they might be free people after their decade of labour and work, but never truly accepted (if one saw their marks left over by the piercings)

somehow even worse than that are tattoos. not only do they look like graffiti, they are carcinogen, toxic. have you ever seen chirurgically removed lymph nodes? yeah, no way around that if you pump your body with ink. both leave their respective marks and toll on ones health.

exceptions are of course if you are a soldier, sailor a convict or someones slave, or a female without A N Y marks, spots or blemish/flaw.
then, if your husband allows to ruin your body (for him), you might get a small piercing on only one side, prefferably right side of body (right=luck, left=ruin), that is not visible in public.
