I'm going to be a doctor soon and I want to be able to have vasectomies as a tool. However, I also want to be Catholic I think. I think that God would want me to sterilize people to make society better, but the church fathers say it's against the rules. How can I reconcile this difference? Please help.

God made man with functional testicles and a penis. You'd presume to know better than God by mutilating them or sterilizing them.

I don't forsee this being an issue unless you intend to practice as a urologist, typically specialists are the ones performing vasectomies

You always have a right to refuse or object to vacetomy requests from moral reasons, if you continue on your path, you will not be able to look at the Lord, and damnation will follow.
Even i, as an engineering student set morality as a priority over my career, for the deepest layers of hell are reserved to those who remain neutral in the face of great evil.
