I haven't worked since 2022 and I was kind of slow at my last job (was an in-store shopper for a grocery store so likely they can verify my performance through their metrics) I ended up quitting that job after working there since 2020 but now I have that 2-3 year resume gap and I need a job now but so far nobody is hiring me. Should I just lie on my resume that I'm still currently working in my last job and/or just recently quitted it to improve my chances of getting hired? I want to lie but I'm afraid hiring managers will call my previous employer and verify if the information is accurate.

Ignore it. If anyone notices and asks, say your area was stuck in a post-Covid business slump or that you were caring for a family member or working for a small irrelevant family company.

But it won't even get past through the AI bullshit if I just leave it that way, a human being will never see my resume unless it looks good according to the AI, so bullshitting my resume may get me the interview but the hiring managers verifying it is the problem. By the way I'm only looking for minimum wage jobs so I'm totally qualified doing these shitty jobs just to pay my bills.

Say that you worked for Uber or DoorDash. They won't check. It's how I got a job with the Postal Service lmao

Make something up and put your friend as a reference. Just say he owns a burger van that goes to outdoor events and food festivals or whatever. Surely you have a friend willing to say "yeah I run a burger van, anon was great with customers and came up with a chicken satay burger which sold really well." They'll never know and it makes no difference to anything at all

Lying to employers is normal. They lie to us about "dynamic exciting environment" so fuck it

They can just call the company instead of just some random phone number though
>>33292555
idk about this, unless there are local uber/doordash stores near me I guess they won't put it in the time to call the actual corporation and verify if I work there, so maybe I'll do this

But keeping it something that vague on a resume is a good idea? If they ask me in an interview I guess I could just bullshit it, so idk maybe ill try this too

You don't listen well, do you? I literally worked for the federal government as of this month. I don't work for the Postal Service as of today but my point still stands. You need to fill in the gaps, you fucking aspie idiot.

Okay but the issue is that you're gambling thst they don't check with your previous employer, I'm wondering if it's possible they can verify I worked for uber/doordash or not because if either they can't or the process is too comolicsted then I'm going to use that in my resume.

I have years of delivery experience, dipshit. I'm not the one lying about my resume here. You would be. There's no actual way to verify if someone did DoorDash or Uber Eats because you're your own boss in that line of work. So you report to yourself. You're your own supervisor. So what is there to verify?

Say you had your own business or did freelance work.
They will probably ask you about it, so make it be something you can talk knowledgeably about.

If you cant tell a little stupid shitty lie, how the hell are you capable of functionally living in society?
Get that crappy job for now, and hope it will improve you.
