I love being a husband and dad, but damn getting no peace and quiet for working on personal projects or for just still contemplation sometimes is wearing me real thin.
The three year old is well-behaved, but the one year old does nothing but scream all day if he's not being held. Nobody's fault, I know it's just his age. I miss being able to play piano and read books though. Eh. Just venting.

It takes a village, bro. You got any favors to ask your parents. Or in-laws? Ask either to visit for a day and take care of the kid to get you a break

There does come a time anon when you need to be a little selfish and simply make your wife take the children somewhere else for the day or arrange them to go to parents. One of the harsh realities of dad life is that nobody else is going to ever advocate for you mental peace or happiness, even a wife that loves you will run you into the ground completely by accident, you absolutely do deserve a day to just fuck around and do whatever the hell you want now and then and it's critical for your overall well being.
