So i have a compaq deskpro 2000 from 1997 and im having this problem where sometimes when ejecting a cd it just freezes my pc and i have to reset the pc to make it work again and ideas on what the problem is?

Idk shit about computers but the last one I bought was in 99. If it is a driver, there’s discs with all that drivers, utility recovery compressed. An old disk is three dollars if you can find it.
