Anyone here have advice on finding a short term room mate? I have a paid service called "Furnished Finders" which I have been using for sometime but it is really up to luck if someone contacts me. I always end up needing someone for a month then after I get someone I have like three other people who want to room with me. I need to find a room mate for the months of August to the end of October specifically so I have one month to figure this out. I have read online that you can find people through craigslist or facebook but I havent had a facebook in over a decade and when I try craigslist I just see people like me looking to rent out there room but not people looking for a room to rent. I live in SoCal if that helps any.

Always get contact info of an applicant's previous landlord(s), and ask the landlord why the applicant left/is leaving. Doing that would have saved me a lot of trouble.
